School Counselors
The Wisconsin Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (WAICU) wants to work with you as you help your students find the right college or university. There are several services we offer.
To register for the School Counselor Workshops, click on Visit our Counselor Events Calendar above and select the event you wish to attend.
Private College Week - July 14-19, 2008. Students and families are invited to tour wisconsin's private colleges and universities during wisconsin Private College Week. During this "open house" week, learn more about Wisconsin's private colleges and universities. Call ahead to any campus and reserve your space. During Private College Week, receive a waiver of application fees at each campus you visit!

WAICU’s newsletter contains a special section with regular features for high school guidance counselors. 
XAP for Counselors
This new feature is a module to help guidance counselors track their students' application to colleges; this is found at http://www.xap.com/.
WisconsinMentor is WAICU’s free interactive Web site that aids prospective students in the college search, selection, and application process.  Mentor’s “Student Planner” lets students compare the courses they have taken in high school with college admission requirements, forging a pre-college bond with campuses of interest. 
Brochure for Spanish-speaking parents
WAICU's independent colleges and universities serve many students of Hispanic origin. Recognizing that parents of such students may be Spanish speaking, we have developed this brochure to explain the benefits and appropriateness of these institutions for their sons and daughters.
College Seminar Tour
Each summer, counselors are invited to register for a weeklong College Seminar tour that includes visits to colleges and universities in Wisconsin and neighboring states.  Participants can earn 3 DPI-approved credits through Marian College of Fond du Lac.  For more information, call 920-923-7650 or email cst@mariancollege.edu.
